Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jun 03, 2014 4:29 pm Hi folks. Our kitchen is basically a straight line kitchen at the moment with a pantry to the side but we are hoping to install a dishwasher. If we put it next to the pantry like in the below picture, we would gain some much needed bench space but can that happen? I have been reading about how dishwashers are hooked up & it's more complicated than I thought. We have red tounge raised floors and would much rather have pipes going running outside the house than under cabinetry to the sink because if we had any water issues inside the house it would be a disaster zone. We have a steel frame. Can anyone shed some light on how we could do this? Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ imgupload "A dream you dream alone is only a dream. The dishwasher pipes run in the kickboard space to inside the sink cabinet and are hooked up to water and waste there. I personally hate dishwashers in the corner at 90degrees to sink cabinets. I would prefer to have the dishwasher where the drawers are in that design. A Double door fridge also doesn't work too well up against a LH wall, should you need to open it further then 90*. Have you considered switching out the pantry for the hotplate? Quality is like buying oats. If you want good, fresh oats, you'll pay a fair price. However,if you can be satisfied with the oats that have already been through the horse, that comes a little cheaper.
