anyway, I can't believe the 180-90 measurement, doesn't make sense.
Take 40 off the bottom due to runners, and 50 off the top due to non-optimal frame and you've lost 90, leaving only 90 left. I'd not find it OK, but it is believable.
Yep. Totally believable especially if it was a set of drawers below a cooktop.
Some cooktops specify a large venting area below they also need a vertical construction rail 40x19 below to allow them to fit. So unfortunately you loose a bit of space if below a cooktop.
Some cabinetmakers are just lazy and don't install the runners correctly.
