Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 May 25, 2008 10:46 pm Our house is close to lock up. The builder has called asking us to change the colour of the tambortech door as it doesnt come in the colour we chose for the laminate (although parbury mentions they manufacture those roller doors in all laminates, the colour we chose is discontinued and roller doors are not being manufactured in that laminate colour anymore however rest of the kitchen doors are being provided)
Our colour combination is Oslo beech for cabinet doors and roller door, tiled splashback in latte-beige, benchtop in Multicolour red granite and kicker in greyish steely laminate which might get tiled overif it looks cheapy. Does anyone know if these roller doors are made in stainless steel. If so, that would really solve my problem. I am aware they make these doors in aluminium but considering the fridge next to appliance cupboard will be stainless steel it will still look weird, also clashing with the matt chrome door handles. Has anyone been in this situation? Any suggestions? we tried a closer laminate shade but its a bit yellowish and on a larger sample the difference will be striking. Looking forward to some feedback Re: Tambortech door question 2May 26, 2008 10:00 am Roller shutters are available in clear anodised aluminium

They have managed to source the roller door in a slightly different finish but the same material (matt as opposed to crystal finish) so that has solved the problem. They are also available in SS foil laminates by duropal but we havent seen them used in this application (apart from kickers) so didnt want to risk it. Thank you for your help.
