Browse Forums Kitchen Corner Re: New Ceasarstone - Catacatta Nuvo 2May 14, 2014 5:14 pm Looks nice but Caesar Stone have been having trouble with manufacturing the slabs, was supposed to be on the market last year but delays from manufacturing it. I would not count on it being released next few months, maybe Christmas. Re: New Ceasarstone - Catacatta Nuvo 3May 18, 2014 9:18 am I love it to bits! But, I've given up on it. I believe you can see it in showrooms now. I did not deal directly with Caesarstone, but the upgrade price to change from standard Caesarstone colours to Calacatta nuvo for just one 3m long waterfall-edge kitchen island was $7500 (via our builder). Instead I've picked Alpine Mist, which is also in the "supernatural range" and is still an upgrade. For the island bench, plus 2 other bench tops, that is an extra $4000 (over and above standard caesarstone that is included in our build.) If you are in a hurry, or don't have the budget, there are some other "marble look" options by other brands. Sorry I can't name them off the top of my head, but I recently noticed some. http://www.housebythewater.wordpress.com From blank block to new home in Mandurah, Western Australia. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65564 Re: New Ceasarstone - Catacatta Nuvo 4May 18, 2014 9:29 am Wow that sure is a massive upgrade price! I think I will give up too as we want to start building soon. And at that price I don't think my husband will let me will that one Thanks for your input and good luck with your build. Re: New Ceasarstone - Catacatta Nuvo 6May 31, 2014 10:43 pm My wife and I were interested in their "new" caesarstone range, which was just a rebrand of their old marble calacatta classic which is been renamed nuvo. We went to their display centre and it was really disappointing, especially considering what the builder wants to charge. We've resorted to standard for our island bench and will be purchasing a proper marble slab. They range from 280-800 sqm for a 3x2m slab in 20mm profile. So for 1100-3500 were getting a proper marble slab and will have the stonemason organise the rest for us. Re: New Ceasarstone - Catacatta Nuvo 7Sep 02, 2014 2:00 pm Just had a estimate come in from the builder. (WA where everything is a little more expensive) 2x 3m bench each with single waterfall 2m ensuite bench Cost: $20k I've seen online slab prices in the eastern states at $3k per raw slab, so 4 slabs + labour + builder's margin makes $20k seem reasonable. Re: New Ceasarstone - Catacatta Nuvo 8Sep 02, 2014 2:04 pm Real Calcatta marble can actually be cheaper. The price CaesarStone are charging for the Nuvo is incredible! Love it, its very classy, I'm also running up as the splash back Thanks for the kind words Michelle! Calacatta Nuvo has definitely proved to be extremely popular! Just to address what others have mentioned, Calacatta Nuvo is a bit pricier than the rest of our range but we created it to have all the beauty of natural marble with the stain and scratch resistant qualities of quartz rather than being a cheaper alternative to marble.
