Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 May 11, 2014 8:29 pm Hi all, My kitchen guy rang me the other day and said his benchtop supplier is no longer supplying acrylic edge laminex as they have issues with it. He said he'd try and see if anyone else had it and/or get to the bottom of why they had stopped suppling it. I was just wondering however, if anyone on here had had issues with there edging or could shed some light on what problems may occur with it. No mention of issues from my suppliers and the benchtops looked great. Nothing mentioned by laminex themselves either. I'd be interested to know exactly what the issue is as I can't think what it could or would possibly be. He's willing to do it but won't provide a guarantee. So UFO had any trouble with it down the track it wouldn't be fixed. They supply the laminex but the edge type has to be guaranteed by the manufacturer to be covered. As he said, he'll still make the product, but if he won't guarantee it becaus he's that sure the product will fail, doesn't that make you lose faith in it a little bit?
