what would be the minimum installation requirements for an induction cooktop installed over a Pyrolytic Oven please. in sudden panic about this I take it all appliances come with installation instructions but as Pyrolytic Ovens can heat to 500 c do you/would you add extra precautions? btw has anyone got a Pyrolytic Oven? Re: special installation induction cooktop over Pyrolytic Oven? 2May 23, 2008 10:23 am Just had a look at the Miele site and their pyromaniac (sic) ovens....
I've been looking at just about every brand of oven and installation requirements over the past week as we are changing over an oven. The installation requirements look like any other oven. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Based on a post I asked recently the ovens should be designed to transfer minimal heat to the exterior carcass. So if the pyromaniac oven heats to 460 degrees C (Meile) then the unit should be designed with extra insulation etc. http://www.miele.com.au/index1.asp?page ... mestic%3D1 I wonder how much energy this process uses....from Miele manual... During the pyrolytic process the oven is heated to approx. 460 °C . Any residual soiling is burnt off by the high temperatures. The oven door is automatically locked shortly after the pyrolytic cleaning process starts. Depending on soiling levels you can choose between two cleaning programmes: – PY I lasting approx. 2 hours – PY 2 lasting approx. 2 hours 30 minutes For safety reasons the door will remain locked until the temperature in the oven cavity has dropped below 280 °C.
