Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Apr 11, 2014 11:49 am Hi All, I have a section of bench space in the corner of my kitchen that is pretty much dead space as it is in the corner and below a cupboard. I have a whole bunch of stuff like coffee machine, toaster, blender etc that always stay out on another part the bench as they are regularly used. I would like to get some kind of solution to utilise this dead space with the above items and free up the space currently being used. I attach a pic of the space. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The dimensions are H58cm, W85cm, D31cm. Ideally I would not use the entire W as this distance is from wall to the start of the kitchen sink. I really struggle for creativity and style and if I did this myself I am pretty confident it would be look ordinary and be impractical. I thought some members might have a few ideas to help me along. Thx Nick Re: Kitchen Solution 2Apr 11, 2014 12:53 pm could you move the coffee machine there? how about the knife block? Re: Kitchen Solution 3Apr 11, 2014 2:23 pm Thanks for your response Yes thats the plan, but I was hoping to store that stuff vertically and this using all the space under the cupboard. Using only the bench surface in that area will not allow me to store all the items which is is why I was looking for something vertical. Re: Kitchen Solution 4Apr 12, 2014 9:20 am Sorry ! I must have not read it right! Now reading it I feel very silly. From ikea Key features - Roll-front that stays in the position you choose. - The roll-front takes up no space when open, so it's practical in smaller spaces. - You can customise your storage using 3 adjustable shelves. - Can be placed on a worktop or be fitted with legs. Re: Kitchen Solution 5Apr 14, 2014 7:46 am Roller shutter cabinet or bifold cabinet. A custom one can easily be made to fit under the existing cabinet which would match doors.
