Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 May 21, 2008 5:41 pm Hi guys, I'm new to both this forum and property renovations in general, so be patient with me!!
My new place has a nice kitchen to begin with, but I just want a bit of pricing advice on those lovely glass cabinet doors. You know the ones...they sort of look like french doors with the squares of glass and bits of wood or whatever in between? My existing doors are white with a sort of engraved pattern around them and very nice, but I just wanted to see if I could get just one or two pairs of doors (so 4 doors in total) in the upper top cabinets changed to the glass ones. Anyone have any price ideas for this? (I am too impatient to get proper actual quotes, as there are tenants in the property right now and we don't take possession until August!) Thank you! How the hell did I become a senior member!? I know nothing! Re: How much to put glass doors in upper kitchen cabinets? 2May 21, 2008 6:37 pm I'm not sure how fancy you want to go, but we've just installed ikea kitchen cupboards in our place and have exactly the doors you are describing on our wall cabinets. They are white, glass and look like mini-french doors. When we bought the cabinets everything came packed separately, so you might be able to just buy doors from there. An entire 60cm wide cupboard with 2 doors costs $315 - not sure of the break-down of the price and how much of that is doors!60cm. They're called Lidingo white if you want to check out the ikea website. Re: How much to put glass doors in upper kitchen cabinets? 3May 21, 2008 8:31 pm That's great, MJ, thanks for replying!
I will look into that, definitely. We'd only want the doors and then need them to be fitted obviously. How exciting!! *drooling over mini french doors* How the hell did I become a senior member!? The price break down is in the cataloque.
Maggie Re: How much to put glass doors in upper kitchen cabinets? 6Jun 12, 2008 7:57 pm Thanks very much for that, Maggie. Do you have any more info about where exactly to get Lindigo stuff? Or where to find the catalogue? I can't find any website for it or any info at all online in search engines. How the hell did I become a senior member!? I know nothing! Re: How much to put glass doors in upper kitchen cabinets? 7Jun 13, 2008 7:57 pm Just google IKEA, and have a look at the kitchen catalogue which you can down load here is a link http://www.ikea.com/au/en/
The catalogue link is at the bottom right of your page. You have an IKEA store in LOGAN Brissie. Maggie Re: How much to put glass doors in upper kitchen cabinets? 8Jun 14, 2008 4:18 pm Thanks Maggie, that's great. I had actually been to the Ikea website before to try and find kitchen cupboards but couldn't find any I liked.
I know the one in Logan. We don't drive so we'll have to somehow organise how to get there. How the hell did I become a senior member!? I know nothing!
