Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Feb 18, 2014 9:02 pm Just wondering what is the typical price builders charge and if there is difference if drawers are fitted in after handover? I can see online the Blum TandemBox (nowadays only with softclose, not an option anymore) mechanism can be purchased for around $70-$80. That's without front, back and bottom panels which are extra. For us it is less choice, more expensive, more work... What about tandembox for wooden drawers?? Same softclose runner but a full melamine drawer. The only difference is that you don't have two metal drawer sides, these are replaced with melamine the same material that is used for the base and back of the tandem drawers! I think the Tandembox Antaro and Intivo bottom(deep) drawers are unnecessarily complicated. They have too many options for the extendable sides and far too many pieces that go together to make a drawer! Also the amount of cardboard the kitchen maker has to throw away with these drawers is a joke!
