Recently I intalled the new kitchen cabinet. There is cabinet for my sink with 2 1600mm long and 2 600mm wide, where 1 long and 1 wide side along the wall. But in the 1600mm long side, there are no backboard to cover. They only put a small thin wood put on the top.I think it is very weak. I worry that after I put the bench top and sink, the board can not hold the heavy of benchtop and sink, then the bench top will break and fall down. I called my supplier to show my worries. And also asked them why no backboard there? Its ugly and also cockroach and other insects can come into the carbinet easily. But they said that is it, no need to worry, It was calculated by computer that the carbinet can hold the heavy of the bench top and sink.
Anyone has any suggestions? What should I do now? Can I trust them? Where can I find the Australian Kitchen Standard? I do not understand why the cabinet only made of 3 sides of board not 4 sides? or because of the fourth side (1600mm long) along the wall, so the wall can be the fourth one?
