Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jan 29, 2014 1:37 pm Hi all, Just a query on how long it might take a factory to create profiled & vinyl wrapped kitchen cabinet & drawer fronts? Can they churn this out in a day, say 14 cupboard doors and 5 drawer fronts? Our SS had advised the cabinetry would be installed in the next couple of weeks however found out today they haven't been ordered yet... Was advised that it's a fairly quick process for them to be made. Is this true? The order will be sent to Perth and then need to be sent down to Albany so that would add a few days I would think... Thanks for any advice Custom Farmhouse Build in the Great Southern | https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=67188 Re: Cabinet makers / carpenters: how long does it take? 2Jan 29, 2014 8:46 pm The doors can be quite quick. I know I've had vinyl doors back in around a week after order (that's in Perth) although it's normally a little longer than that. You can cnc and build a kitchen in a day if needed. The only problem with this is that other jobs will have to get bumped in order to do it that fast. I normally allow a 3-4 week turn around from order to install, just to allow for any unexpected hold ups. Transport to Albany should only add a day or 2. I may be a little late replying to you but hopefully this should help. Nearly all cabinet makers will order in there Vinyl doors from suppliers to it is hard for them to rush them through. When working out the lead time for a kitchen I always allow a minimum of 10 working days for Vinyl doors to come into the factory. Once received they then have to be sorted and drilled. Hope this helps Kitchen Designer @ http://www.diylab.com.au Hi Mofflepop, I would recommend finding a building designer to prepare plans, they should design to your specified budget. The benefit is you can tender the project out… 9 20434 Congratulations! Nice to put that to bed before christmas, now you can relax 3 7187 |
