Hi,
We're in the process of getting our kitchen renovated, cabinets and bench tops have gone in and today the plumber and electrician have come to do their work.
In the process of installing the induction cooktop, we discovered that the cut out for the cooktop means that the cooktop sits almost flush up against the splash back. Splashback is quantum quartz.
Any suggestions as to what we can do here? Do I need to get the stone guys out to re-cut? and if so, does that mean they should start with a fresh sheet of QQ or just make the existing cut out bigger?
The installation guide says it needs to be 50mm to the splash back but the gap at the front is 75mm so that would mean it reduces to only 25mm.. Doesn't the cooktop also need to be 50mm from the front of the bench top?
Sorry to ask so many questions but this has me really frazzled!! I don't want the splash back ruined due to it being too close.. Also don't want it too close to the edge as i have a 2 year old who likes to reach up and grab stuff!
