Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Nov 17, 2013 6:06 pm Hi There I'm thinking of getting corian (or Hanex) benchtops and I really like the streamline look of intergrated sinks. I'm thinking of getting no stainless steel in them either - because I've heard that the undermount sinks collect grime etc around the edge and are hard to keep clean. I know I'm going to have to be crazy with the cleaning of the white bottomed sink... but I do love the look. Does anyone have this set up or seen it and have ideas on pro's and con's? Thank you [/Users/JESS/Desktop/Unknown.jpeg Re: Corian Benchtop and intergrated sinks 2Nov 18, 2013 1:20 pm I am not a big fan of this type of top. I have had a few problems with it and its quite expensive compared with other options on the market. Is it the benchtops or the intergrated sinks you think are the problem? Or Both?? I don't love the look of the stainless steel and the undermounted one's apparently are really hard to keep clean. Re: Corian Benchtop and intergrated sinks 4Jan 14, 2014 8:16 am MJ1 --Its been a while since your post, and I don't know if you've ever reached a resolution. I live in the states, and the Corian is far more common here. The Corian brand sinks are actually chemically fused to the underside of the benchtop; there is a visual seam but you can't even feel it. I hear the sinks retain heat well, and are less likely to result in chipping if you are washing delicate china or crystal. That being said, the sinks available in Aus are more limited than in the US, so I wondered if you had gone ahead, and, if so, what did you pick and how do you like it?
