Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 May 10, 2008 6:34 pm Hi, was wondering if anyone had used a wood look laminate for a benchtop surface or has an idea about what this would look like?
I love the look of a white kitchen with a wooden benchtop but my budget only allows for laminate but i am worried that this would look too fake? Any opinions please! Re: Wood Laminate for kitchen benchtop? Opinions please 2May 10, 2008 8:33 pm My friend has a wood laminate for the bench with an antique white cupboard, looks lovely.
Its quite a light wood, beach I think. Not sure what the dark ones would look like. Paula Re: Wood Laminate for kitchen benchtop? Opinions please 3May 11, 2008 9:24 am One thing to keep in mind with wood look laminate,
the corner joins will be VERY obvious where there is a change in direction of benchtop. Kevin, we will be having a galley style kitchen with an island bench so do you think the wood laminate would be okay to use? Re: Wood Laminate for kitchen benchtop? We've decided to have a wood effect laminate work bench too! We're having a pecan butternut coloured wooden floor, pale cream units (were going to be white but I decided at the last minute that white might look too harsh) and a cherry wood laminate workbench which matches really well with the floor. The kitchen guy did explain that the wood effect only looks good if you have straight work benches as this will follow the flow of the wood effect grain We are tossing up between a Jarrahdale radiant wood fire (the Pioneer) and a convection wood fire (Innovator or Countryman) but cannot decide on which type of wood fire is… 0 5317 yeah i couldnt picture it issue either, but i could clearly picture what they were doing wrong haha 2 5340 Hi Courtney The mitred edges are glued up with epoxy so those little holes and gaps are areas that weren't filled correctly.
