Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Nov 10, 2013 8:16 am Does anyone have any idea of the price difference between standard or deluxe Caesarstone colours, and the Supernatural range? I'm trying to decided how attached I should get to the idea of the new Calacatta Classic colour, which is "Supernatural". Builder provides standard/deluxe range as standard. Thank you. P.S. All of you who hang out in the Kitchen Corner have lovely kitchens. I'm hoping it rubs off. http://www.housebythewater.wordpress.com From blank block to new home in Mandurah, Western Australia. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65564 Re: Caesarstone prices- Standard vs. Supernatural 2Nov 10, 2013 8:20 am Depending on the number of slabs required it can be around 15-20% more. I have one 3 x 1.15 m island bench with waterfall edges, one 2.1 x .65, and one 3.3 x 6.5, so that could add up fast. I'd better come up with a back up plan. http://www.housebythewater.wordpress.com From blank block to new home in Mandurah, Western Australia. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65564 Re: Caesarstone prices- Standard vs. Supernatural 4Nov 15, 2013 3:58 pm Starting to notice that some of the super natural colours are more than 20% up on the standard based on how popular the colour is. Some stone masons are charging for the bigger off cuts on the less popular colours, as they potentially can not use them on another job. Understandable , I guess, but it has been bumping the cost up on some tops. With 25 years kitchen experience and a passion for what I do, I have joined this forum to offer advice or at least my opinion on all things relevant to kitchens. I was a cabinetmaker by trade and am now a senior manager of a kitchen company. Re: Caesarstone prices- Standard vs. Supernatural 5Jan 02, 2014 9:20 pm Hi housebythewater, I'm in love with the new caesarstone calacatta classic as well, I like marble but it's too porous and then I saw the new caesarstone . We're looking at doing our bench in the stone and bathrooms in laminex Carrera marble (which is more calacatta looking than Carrera). If our budget doesn't allow we'll be doing the laminex in the kitchen as well. I'm thinking that the new colour will be rather popular! I've asked for a quote for the calacatta classic for my kitchen benches, but the response is very slow coming, not helped of course by the Christmas hiatus. My kitchen is my place to relax, work, eat, etc, so this might end of being something I splurge on. Will report back after my pre start! http://www.housebythewater.wordpress.com From blank block to new home in Mandurah, Western Australia. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65564 Re: Caesarstone prices- Standard vs. Supernatural 7Jan 20, 2014 10:00 pm Ohhhh yes please housebythewater that would be great if you can report back! The Calacatta Classic is not yet released, the showrooms don't have any samples yet and they don't know the price. The lady at the showroom anticipated a price rise compared to existing Caesarstone in the supernatural range, guessing at up to 20%. We'll have to be patient - luckily I'm not in a rush. http://www.housebythewater.wordpress.com From blank block to new home in Mandurah, Western Australia. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65564 Re: Caesarstone prices- Standard vs. Supernatural 9Feb 12, 2014 11:57 am I was told that the supernatural range (i.e. replicating the granite, marble look) is actually more expensive than buying the same size in real granite or marble. Although I'm not really sure how true that is. Not sure how accurate this pricing is (slab only, not install) but might be a start: http://www.diyaustralia.com/Caesarstone ... _price.php Re: Caesarstone prices- Standard vs. Supernatural 10Feb 12, 2014 9:17 pm Thanks for the link Michele. It looks interesting, but this time I'm not going to DIY the bench top (I'm paying for a home building package, might as well use it). According to the Caesarstone facebook page, Calacatta classic will be out in Australia in July and will be "slightly" more expensive than the other stones in the supernatural range. http://www.housebythewater.wordpress.com From blank block to new home in Mandurah, Western Australia. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65564 Re: Caesarstone prices- Standard vs. Supernatural 11Feb 13, 2014 6:42 am housebythewater According to the Caesarstone facebook page, Calacatta classic will be out in Australia in July and will be "slightly" more expensive than the other stones in the supernatural range. I had a price for Calcutta from another quartz stone company. It was an island unit 1000x3000 and the price was over $7000 for a 40mm top! I have a feeling it will be very expensive! The raw, unpolished, uncut 20mm Ceasarstone Calacatta cost $500/sqm, meaning a standard slab 3 x 1.4 m would cost you $2100 here in WA. Don't know what others charge. For a standard Classico slab he charges $800. Real Calacatta marble cost $700/sqm. Re: Caesarstone prices- Standard vs. Supernatural 15Feb 20, 2014 2:39 pm Holy moly!!! Maybe it's time to investigate actual marble then, HBTW? Re: Caesarstone prices- Standard vs. Supernatural 17Apr 09, 2014 11:01 pm Cutting Edge, your prediction was right. So, Calacatta (now called Calacatta Nuvo) Caesarstone is now in the show rooms. Still not available until July. My builder gave me a price to upgrade my 3 metre (waterfall edge) island bench from standard Caesarstone to Calacatta Nuvo - $8600! Ain't happening. Then I asked for an upgrade from standard/delux Caesarstone to all my kitchen and scullery bench tops and waterfall island bench to Alpine Mist (in the Supernatural range). That's $4500. Standing out from the crowd isn't cheap. Such a shame.... http://www.housebythewater.wordpress.com From blank block to new home in Mandurah, Western Australia. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65564 Re: Caesarstone prices- Standard vs. Supernatural 18Apr 10, 2014 7:15 am housebythewater Cutting Edge, your prediction was right. They have been promising these colours for sometime and i wouldn't hold my breathe getting it till late in year. A stonemason friend told me the slabs were double the cost for raw material and due to the veins and directions depending on how you want them to flow could mean a lot of wastage. Natural marble wont be as expensive and is more beautiful but has its downfalls but if you look after it, it will maintain nicely but mistreat it and can look very stained quickly no matter if you seal it or not. Tradie may sit at home but will need to get house plastered as well or will you sit it out? 6 9912 What we have done in a few theatres ( including my own) is run 2 layers of 13mm gyprock, but sounds insulation especially for the bass is really tricky as a lot of that… 4 2535 |
