Mike Not really. The differences are more to do with colour, texture and cost than quality. Those fabricators perceived as being "lower quality" are invariably the ones who offer fewer colours and textures. If you are looking into patterns there can be some mobs who have lower resolution in the print quality, which can be noticeable and appear nastier than some of the more high end brands. At the end of the day there are only a handful of companies around the world who actually make the stuff - they just produce different lines for different brands...a bit like appliances really. Cheers, Earl Our kitchen supplier told us that Amerind cupboard doors are laminate which is laminated onto a substrate (same quality as benchtop laminate). This sounds like the product Kevin said is normally used for benchtops. Their cupboard gloss finish is much shinier than Polytech sheen and we've been told it comes in at around the same price as vinyl wrap. So I'm guessing the cupboards are not a melamine Our kitchen supplier is telling us it is a better quality than normal melamine and I'm wondering if this is accurate or are they charging an arm and leg for colours .
