Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 May 08, 2008 1:26 pm Hi guys, we are getting 20m ceaserstone bench tops in the kitchen. I have suddenly fallen in love with the waterfall edge I have seen on some bench tops. I'm wondering if any of you have or are getting those and if so how much extra it costs? I would only need it on one edge as the other edge abuts the wall. Re: waterfall edge on bench. 6May 08, 2008 1:37 pm In ceaserstone this should be ok not NOT in regular laminate.
This is because laminate is likely to suffer damage from passing traffic and is difficult (almost imposible) to repair. But ceaserstone is repairable (so I've being told) Best Price Wardrobes Sliding door robes | Walk in robes Deco panel | Mirror | Melamine 26 to 28 Cottage lane Hackham M: 0402 927 376 http://www.bestpricewardrobes.com.au Trade welcome Re: waterfall edge on bench. 7May 09, 2008 4:37 pm Hi... we're having a waterfall edge in ceaserstone and it's approx 700 bucks. Re: waterfall edge on bench. 8May 09, 2008 4:46 pm bob - is that 1 side or both sides? pretty good price seeing as our building is doing c/stone to all our bathroom tops for $2.5k After 4 years - we're in! Re: waterfall edge on bench. 9May 09, 2008 4:50 pm Good point... We don't have a bench, just a return, so it's for one side only. C&G -------------------------------- A new building chapter begins.. Re: waterfall edge on bench. 10May 14, 2008 9:16 pm Hi, we are building with PD and are having the apron to our Island. Our quote was $1711 = $632 to increase benchtop from 20mm to 40mm and $1079 for the two sides our product is Quantum Quartz. I've since found out that we were under quoted and it should have been $980 per side and $700 for the top. Happy to say that we are getting it at the lower price. Re: waterfall edge on bench. 11May 15, 2008 6:53 am We added waterfalls and 100m apron to the front of our island bench. Cost $1835 with M. And they forgot to install it.

Thanks. Re: waterfall edge on bench. 16May 24, 2008 3:54 pm Hi TDN
The tops are 20mm with 100mm apron to the island bench. The thickness on the outside is an illusion due to the apron all in made from 20mm Anne Grandview 36 on Beautiful Bribie Site Start Dec 5th 2007 Projected completion May 12th 2008 NOPE Handover 24th June 2008 Moved in 11th July 2008 Wating on one final thing - Still - Oct 2009 Re: waterfall edge on bench. 17Jun 04, 2008 9:17 am Thanks Anne! I would have loved 100mm to the back or even 60mm but PD's max is 40mm so we are having that. Your kitchen looks great!
Toni Re: waterfall edge on bench. 18Jun 04, 2008 9:47 am Anne,
We will most likely be building with M also, probably going for the Mercer. We asked the Sales Consultant for a quote of the house and i told her that i wanted a waterfall edge to the island bench as well as 40mm apron. She gave back the quote saying that they cant do waterfall benches, i will have to do it myself and ask people about drainage?!! I dont think she understood what i wanted. I was just wondering what M would call it and the edges, would it be called aprons? What did you can quoted for all the upgrades to the bench? Many thanks Anne. Re: waterfall edge on bench. 19Jun 04, 2008 10:27 am Sharee,
I don't know why but some builders insist you upgrade to 40mm to put the ends on. Some won't do it with 20mm. No knowledge on why.. Also wonderland, I'm also building with M and we're having them in 40mm. Take a photo of what you want and show them. This is also a good idea for your studio 501 appointment if you do go with M. I made up a folder of stuff I wanted from their displays. When the colour consultant told me something wouldn't work, I produced a photo and said "well it seems to work in your display of xxx at xxx!" You should have seen her face! Then she suggested the photo may have been altered? Ummm ok...!?! Photos are your best bet when asking for anything specific. Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Why can't they just admit that they don't know EVERYTHING? I want this kind of bench top too!
