Double Island?

Has anyone seen a kitchen with a double island like this IRL?

Yes, I have built them!
Are they practical CEK? I'm picturing one for prep/cooking and one for entertaining/kids doing homework etc.

Does the room look a bit odd with 2?
I don't really understand the point of them. Surely you'd just end up using one most of the time? And you'd always be walking around one to get to the other? Or is it more kinda a way to replace a dining table rather than extend the usefulness of the kitchen?
I haven't seen them like this but I've seen ones where the island is more of an L shape, often with one part dropped a bit lower than the other so that the lower bit is used for eating/homework etc.
Personally I think it looks funny like in your photo but looks fine as an L shape. Is an L a possibility?
Looks more like a modern version of the central butchers block... the middle one is for prep and the other island for seating/socialising/serving.
This looks like a waste of space to me. It's currently popular to join them together.
Didn't they have it in the TV show I can't remember the name but I remember it had Tim Taylor and tool time and the wife's name was Jill ?
I am sure that their house had it

Current door width is approx 2700, looking to have double doors fitted 820-820. What size does the frame need to be before door jamb? Thanks
