Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Sep 26, 2013 12:38 am Hi All, I have been looking at some of the offers on at present. Realistically my house is going to be about 12 months out from needing teh appliances but wanted some insight from those more knowledgable than me. Presently the run out models that I want are enjoying 15% off and if I purchase 5 I receive another 12.5% which makes for a decent discount. The differences as far as I can tell from the current models is the LED colour I think as all other features are very similar (called something else but the function is the same). Warranty wise the shop will hold them with a deposit and store them for me with the warranty kicking in upon installation or delivery for plug in items. I am looking at a warming drawer, dishwasher, oven, micro combi oven and induction cooktop. I think it represents pretty good value but would like to hear thoughts. Also I have considered Asko but was swayed by the cabinet maker who installs lots of kitchens. He recommended NEFF or Miele. The other choice for me was AEG but the cabinet maker snubbed his nose. Not wanting to sound snobby but I am spending what I think is a considerable amount on the build and do not want false economy when it comes to brands of appliances. Kinda does my head in really...... Thanks in advance for your thoughts and I appreciate that ultimately it will be my decision but am interested how others got through the thought process. Cheers Mark Re: Current NEFF Offers - Opinions please 3Sep 26, 2013 10:00 am for an induction I would go for NEFF because they have a twistpad which is easer to use than the Miele touch buttons. I got a Miele and hate it because of the slow reaction of the touch buttons. Miele ovens look better, but I see no diff otherwise between both brands. An oven with pyro would be important to me or some like a combi oven with steam (no pyro possible). With NEFF the oven doors can slide away (again not with pyro). Dishwasher, take an XXL, it's brilliant, plenty of space. Miele got more dishwasher models but at the end, it doesn't really matter which one. We have a Miele XXL (bought it because we got it cheap), it's not working any better than my old cheap Dishlex. However, the layout is better. I saw some Bosch models who have a terrible rack arrangement. I would go for the NEFF option because of price. Re: Current NEFF Offers - Opinions please 4Sep 26, 2013 11:03 am Thanks Evelin, good insights and makes sense what you are saying regarding the induction cooktop. Yes the NEFF does not have pyro but it does have a function that basically steams the dirt off. The micro convection combi is pyro but costs what I think is a small fortune. Agree on the dishwasher however just want to make sure that it will fit under my countertops as I think counter tops are 900mm high which would mean they may be too high if I wanted 60mm front edge on the counter top. I know I could go higher but my wife is not that tall (neither am I for that matter). Anyway thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it. Cheers Mark Re: Current NEFF Offers - Opinions please 5Sep 26, 2013 11:11 am if your benchtop is 900mm, it's not really high. The Miele XXL is 84cm tall which fits under a 900mm. However, is 900mm high enough for you? How tall is the person who is the "chef" in the kitchen? How thick is your benchtop? I think the Neff XXL is 865mm high. Re: Current NEFF Offers - Opinions please 6Oct 29, 2013 11:54 pm Have you ordered your appliances already? Miele have a deal on the NEW models until 10th November, doubling the cash back. I think it's a great offer for new stock (nothing like the discount you have posted... which I'm assuming is running out of old models, much like Miele just did). Re: Current NEFF Offers - Opinions please 7Oct 30, 2013 12:48 am Thanks for the update, I have not ordered yet. I think these offers are always on from time to time and I expect they will be on again before I need them. I have not even knocked my old house down as we are still waiting for building approval. I guess it will be a good 10 months before they are needed. Cheers Mark isn't a garage level with the rest of the house a given? pretty sure they 'came around' long time ago. if you have a flat block, the garage is usually level with the rest… 1 17528 2 5966 Hi Everyone, wondering if anyone has done a prestart lately with summit homes in WA and what kind of costs were associated with adding gpo's and downlights? we are also… 0 3867 |
