Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Sep 01, 2013 4:01 pm Folks, I live miles away from a shop - so many miles I can't drive in and measure this up. Anyone out there got a Belling Sterling 900mm cooktop and know what they interior cavities of the ovens are? I'm after measurements to see if they'll fit what I want (big Xmas dinner basically). This be the one: http://www.belling.com.au/catalog/b900i_oz I've found the user manual and the tech specs but I've failed to find anything more than a mention of volume - not actual size. Help???! Re: Belling 900mm cooktop interior space 2Sep 02, 2013 8:06 pm I just saw one at Harvey Norman the other day. I'm sure if you gave them a call they would measure it up for you. Ps: I'm glad u didn't listen to the freestanding oven haters. That Belling is going to look fabulous in your kitchen!! My build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64437 Re: Belling 900mm cooktop interior space 3Sep 02, 2013 9:59 pm I'll do that Tracyw And meh - each to their own - do what works for you... you know? I might still not go with this one - if it's too small an interior - I'll be forced to build it in probably if I don't go with this one (because I can't bring myself to install a F&P and that's the only other one of this size that's stand alone easily and within budget on the market). I'd love a pretty country styled hob oven (because I'm doing a modern country farm kitchen afterall) but they only come in gas (which we refuse to do - gas bottles for the rest of our lives? hell no!) Re: Belling 900mm cooktop interior space 4Sep 02, 2013 10:14 pm Gas bottles are a nightmare. We are in the perth hills and our rental has bottles. Always running out! Where we are building is one of the few areas up here that are on mains gas. We knew we wanted a gas hot plate so we made sure we could get mains gas before we bought the property. I'm also going for the modern farmhouse kitchen look. Not sure if its working, but I guess time will tell! My build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64437 Re: Belling 900mm cooktop interior space 7Sep 03, 2013 8:07 am TracyW - Oh man... bottles? NO THANKYOU. We live in town and you still have to load the bottle (on a trailer, not in an enclosed car or they won't swap it for you) and take it across the little town to the shop, load up a new one... lug it home and install yourself etc... no home delivery here! I stalked your thread and saw your oven. Envy! It's beautiful. I'm glad you are on gas mains, don't know if you'd get enough gas pressure for that baby off bottles. I have no idea what 'modern farm kitchens' look like, and I have a firm budget - but I'm working on wood benchtops (well laminate wood looking), white cupboards, stainless steel door hardware (although your ones were nice). Mine will probably just be simple and we'll pretend it's farmhouse LOL. What it does have is a walk in pantry that's larger than my wardrobe space. Woohoo! Re: Belling 900mm cooktop interior space 9Sep 04, 2013 6:03 pm My builder does an allowance for kitchen appliances - I've found what I want largely within that PHEW! The belling - I finally tracked it down "maximum recommended roasting dish 37cmx32cm" well... that's not big enough for me sadly. That's made my choice for me - not the belling. My daughter and son in law are about to start building, they are having a 600mm induction cook top and 900mm oven.
