We want to get a colour to match or go with the brushed stainless steel look, like a metalic silver finish Anyone know of a supplier in Adelaide? It would be cheaper but no good for a splashback behind a cooktop. I have already had my ar*s burnt doing this. Laminate needs to be a minimum of 200mm from the edge of gas ring on the cooktop. The supplier told me it was suitable for splashbacks, but refused to come out and look at the job. Now I refuse to use his laminate and I tell my customers why if they request this brand. Any suppler that wont honour a warranty gets banned. If we upgrade to starfire glass then the glass is clear and you get a truer colour. Only found this out today after my 5th trip into the the "design/colour showroom". Re: Starfire Splashback Upgrade 9May 05, 2008 9:42 am pasey25 fair enough. i wonder if brushed stainless is cheaper than starphire glass? I would have thought as a cabinetmaker you would have more experience in this than me anyway Yes I would imagine that brushed stainless is cheaper than starfire glass as mentioned in my post above here. if ur considering a dark colour, u prob wont need it. but a light colour, u will, if u dont like the green tint colour. Re: Starfire Splashback Upgrade 11May 15, 2008 7:57 am we upgraded our splash back from tiles to staphire glass in a colour called snake skin. Cost $1906.

M had a range of colours/samples for us to choose from at our colour appointment. They use Bristol so it may be a bristol colour. Sorry I can't be of more help Until I started on here I thought starphire was the brand/supplier not the type of glass Anne Grandview 36 on Beautiful Bribie Site Start Dec 5th 2007 Projected completion May 12th 2008 NOPE Handover 24th June 2008 Moved in 11th July 2008 Wating on one final thing - Still - Oct 2009 Re: Starfire Splashback Upgrade 20May 19, 2008 12:07 pm I found a snakeskin under the metallic range in the following website (from Michelle's useful links). Looks like the one.
