I want to do a detailed plan of the kitchen now to make the kitchen walls fit the kitchen layout I want, not do it later and have to compromise the layout to fit the walls. I have a good idea of the layout I want, the problem I have is that standard size cupboards are not the same across kitchen companies – for example: some only have 800mm wide drawers & sink cupboards, others only have 900mm. We haven't chosen a builder yet. Do some/all builders insists on a particular kitchen company they always use? Or do I shop around & choose a kitchen company? Does the builder install the kitchen or do they leave it to the kitchen company? If it's up to me to choose any kitchen company (or supply only from Ikea/Bunnings/Mitre10 with builder to install?) how do I choose? There's so many! Any recommendations? The builder would not install a DIY kitchen but I guess you could negotiate this with some builders for after handover. Look at your bill from the electricity company. It should detail the charges.
