Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jul 21, 2013 8:03 pm So in our search for kitchen ideas we spent an hour today in our local (Preston, Vic) Masters and had a natter with one of their reps. I did like their layout, and their (initial service), so much so that we booked a time to go back during the week. However, I've since discovered on productreview.com that nobody is happy with Masters kitchens: poor installation, late deliveries, deliveries of wrong materials or items, bad commnuication between Masters, the customers, and the installers, and so on. A litany of complaints and poor service. So my questions are: are Masters as bad as they seem? and second, if not Masters - who? What companies can provide decent reliable service at a reasonable price? Lots of places do kitchens (Masters. Bunnings, GoodGuys, etc) - I don't know how to tell good from bad. They all sound super on their websites, of course! Re: Kitchen companies: Masters, GoodGuys, etc? Who to trust? 2Jul 22, 2013 8:42 am You can get a much better quality kitchen for less through a smaller kitchen company or cabinet maker. I personally find it is much better dealing with a company that only has 2-10 employees rather than 100s. With smaller companies they need a good reputation and don't have anywhere to hide when something goes wrong. I find this with most things not just kitchens! Looks good. The joiner has come back with a quote of close to 5k. I think we are going to not do it. Attaching panelling is something they are dead… 11 10107 The gap can be adjusted so it's tighter. You can definitely set up corner cabinets to have the same gap as standard doors. 2 8593 No. It's not original. Circa early to mid 90s would be my guess and maybe even as late as early 2000s 1 3664 |
