So, we're in the process of getting ideas together to upgrade our kitchen - which is unchanged from when we bought our house 23 years ago. It simply doesn't work for us any more. In many ways it's got some reasonable features: lazy susans in two of the corner cabinets, a nice big stove (Chef Society 6 burner gas); but it's tired, looks old and pretty decrepit, and the storage doesn't work for us. There are 7 people in our house so we need LOTS of storage space.
What I want to know is:
- What have you found works for corner cabinets: Hafele magic corners or Le Mans corners, lazy susans, or something else?
- Pantries: corner, or cupboard? Pull out sliding shelves or wire racks in both space and doors?
The other thing we would be interested to know is good companies to approach for kitchens who provide a decent service without breaking the bank. I know the sky's the limit with kitchens, however, we will have a definite budget!
Thanks,
-A.
