Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 May 06, 2013 12:51 am Absolutely love and want this bin; http://www.hafele.com.au/HafeleHome/pro ... tandem-30/ Problem is you can't buy it direct from them . Masters sell some hafele bins but not this one. Could only find one online store but they want $250 including shipping which is a bit much I think. Anyone know anywhere in Perth that sells this brand, or online store??? Building the Riva by Dale Alcock Homes. Only issue is you have to pull out the first bin to pull out the rear one. Any cabinet maker can order for you. They prob have a few in stock, so bring cash. Re the handle/door, you might be limited where you put your handle to suit the door fixings of the bin. Eg our handle is in a slightly different spot to the others in the kitchen, but it looks fine. They have some that don't get fixed to the door. If you do find someone charging a reasonable price I'd be interested as we are looking to put on in once the house is built (didn't even thing to ask the builder for a cost!) Re: Where can I buy Hafele pull out bins?? 12May 06, 2013 10:55 am Hi Miss Em. Hettich in Osborne Park will sell direct to the public and have very similar bins if not the same. they also sell the hideaway bin range which is a good brand. Only problem is the showroom is closed form this Thursday for a couple of weeks for renovations so if you want to get in and have a look you need to get there before then. If worse comes to worse I can order the bin for you from Hafele. Have just measured the cupboards, soooo annoying they are only 358 on the bottom and then shelf then a little higher above shelf so that particular bin is not really an option now Have seen this one at masters - will probably suffice: http://www.masters.com.au/product/90001 ... -bin-2x15l Building the Riva by Dale Alcock Homes. Only problem is now how the hell do you install these things??? 24 screws lol. Building the Riva by Dale Alcock Homes. I actually disagree. I hate the all in one bins that have the door attach. Think about the weight on bin runners when the bin is fully loaded and a door attached to the front! The problem with this type is when fully loaded the door can sag a little and the door gaps change. I actually prefer to open a door and then slide the bin out. The bin will work so much longer without issues! When you are in the middle of baking and your hands are dirty it is a PITA to have to open a door then pull out a bin. My bins are 2 x 20lt and I have never noticed them sagging. Do you do much cooking CEK? Or do you just use the bin to dispose of your empty stubbies like my old man? Regards, Grumbles Re: Where can I buy Hafele pull out bins?? 18May 07, 2013 7:44 am +1 to what everyone else is saying. Ours was originally installed incorrectly with a door that you had to open first. We had it fixed so that it was attached to the door and the whole thing slides like a big drawer. Much better this way. And no sagging even when chock a block. Re: Where can I buy Hafele pull out bins?? 19May 07, 2013 1:30 pm grumblebum54 Do you do much cooking CEK? Or do you just use the bin to dispose of your empty stubbies like my old man? That's borderline offensive and if you could please refrain from being so facetious on my thread that would be great. I get both points but to be honest I see CEK's point. Even with the bin attached to the door you still have to open that door. One extra door isn't the hugest issue I wouldn't have thought. And depending on the size of the bin and the weight inside (ie how full it is, and with what) it may cause unnecessary stress on the hinges. Either way, its really down to personal preference and we've made our choice Building the Riva by Dale Alcock Homes. Seeing you also mentioned the word offensive I apologise profusely to CEK as no offense was intended. Regards, Grumbles Black on light wood does look good.
