I feel that the flokati was too light for me, the colours they had with it - glacier grey and dark wood kitchen was not me. I liked the White Pepper but have decided on my original choice......wattyl chalk beige with chalk dust trims. PD seem to use this combo alot. I know the colour has the word "beige" in it but it does seem to pick up the green from my carpet. I went into two houses yesterday done in these two colours and moved my carpet from room to room looking at it in different light. I think that's the paint choice for me.
I'm still really concerned over my kitchen choices, wonder if bench/top are too ligh or splashback too dark....................it looks nice all together from the samples but so hard to picture it all together and with the walls. This is all just too much at the moment..........I could quite happily walk away from this whole process. Re: New kitchen colours - help please!!! 49Apr 27, 2008 1:32 pm Hey Toni,
I'm glad you came to a decision re: the paint, I had the same thoughts about both colours, one was too light and one was too dark for what we wanted, that is why I think we have gone for the Kid Leather - it seems to be the in between colour. I might have to ring PD myself and ask for homes they have used Kid Leather and Alabaster in. Just so I can see the colours in the flesh. I'm sorry the kitchen part is frustrating you...if the colours look gone together on your colour board well then I think there is a pretty good chance they will look good on the finished product, although I know it is hard to picture. Your going for a white kitchen, correct? In my opinion you can't really go wrong with white, it is liekly to go with all your other colours and it won't date. I think you will be fine Not long to go, hang in there! It will be worth it in the end Cheers Bel Re: New kitchen colours - help please!!! 50Apr 27, 2008 5:26 pm Oh Paula, your new house is divine. Congratulations.
For months I've been looking at kitchens, trying to decide what I like, and I saw yours just now and realised.....that's it!!! Please oh please, what is the benchtop? What is the splashback colour? What is the cupboard colour? TIA Re: New kitchen colours - help please!!! 51Apr 27, 2008 5:51 pm Quote: Please oh please, what is the benchtop? What is the splashback colour? Thanks I was being kind to the builder. With the amount charged for the upgrade the builder is probably charging closer to 100% margin. There are a few variables as I… 5 14314 Assuming the structure of your cabinetry is good then I would DIY everything as follows: - replace your counter tops entirely, - replace all drawer runners with soft close… 1 4782 You never have a fridge against wall as you’ve drawn. The doors can’t open past 90 degrees and it’s difficult and maybe impossible to remove drawers 2 15600 |
