Re: New kitchen colours - help please!!! 22Apr 23, 2008 9:42 pm ahhaah it is a small world!! I have been reading your blog
In fact I read all the Cremorne blogs - its helping me heaps with regards to extras/changes to the plan to consider.... Which facade are you going with? It seems all the Cremorne owners are opting for the Arlington...we are boring and going with Clifton I think, I also like Sorrento.... Re: New kitchen colours - help please!!! 23Apr 23, 2008 9:46 pm LOL - we are Arlington too! I like the profile with the Balcony. Love the Sorrento but at $900 the Arlington is an affordable facade to go with.

Actually the glass is alot eaiser to keep clean than I thought. Paula Re: New kitchen colours - help please!!! 26Apr 23, 2008 10:15 pm Hi Paula, I've not had a glass s/b before but I assumed it would be easy to keep clean especially if Windex can be used. Happy to hear that's the case! Re: New kitchen colours - help please!!! 27Apr 23, 2008 10:29 pm Do you think I should leave the back of the Island Bench white like all the cupboards or do a different colour to have as a feature. Or is the splash back and stone sides to Island enough of a feature???? In hindsight I wish I had have gone a darker colour for more omph. I was playing on a virtual splash back site earlier that I found on another forum topic and liked having the back of the island the same as the s/b. It's just so hard to picture it all in my head. It would be a nice view when sitting at the dinner table. the hardest thing will be finding a vinyl wrap colour to match dulux paint or close to. Re: New kitchen colours - help please!!! 30Apr 23, 2008 10:40 pm What house did you build Paula? How long have you been in? Re: New kitchen colours - help please!!! 31Apr 24, 2008 8:18 am Quote: What house did you build Paula? How long have you been in? Tdn, that is my current house, we have been there 14 years. We have bought a new house that we will move in to in just over 3 weeks. We were going to build, then found an established house https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.p ... highlight= Paula Re: New kitchen colours - help please!!! 32Apr 24, 2008 11:40 am Good luck for your move!
Was now wondering if the dark carpet would be okay with darker walls ie the white pepper........? Although Vanderlay's carpet was quite dark and looked nice Re: New kitchen colours - help please!!! 33Apr 24, 2008 11:47 am tdn Vanderlay - can you tell me what colour carpet you have with your walls. Walls look really nice. I've seen Bone on display and that is a nice neutral colour too but more in the browns? The carpet is called "rock" i think - its a PD cat 3 if thats helps when looking through their range. Its a dark grey, it kind of looks a little brown in some pics, but it's not!! Built Porter Davis "Dromana" 2007. Re: New kitchen colours - help please!!! 34Apr 24, 2008 12:29 pm We are looking at a flecked silver finish to blend in with our brushed silver kick boards
Yes we are finally doing our own kitchen. I started drawing plans back in the year 2000. It's the same story with any trade, your own jobs always get put on the back burner. Just waiting for the benchtops and doors now Re: New kitchen colours - help please!!! 35Apr 24, 2008 5:39 pm Kevin…..I would love to see your kitchen when it’s done.

One house has Flotaki walls with Metropolitan as feature walls. When I look at the photos on PD's website the Metropolitan looks like a nice green which I would like, when I look at it on my colour chart it looks totally different.
Michelle thanks, for the tip re lighting and gloss. We are going with the gloss so decision made there. Just need to see the wall paint with my carpet. Thanks everyone! Don’t rely on colours that you see on your computer! Its good you are able to go and see some paint work. Make sure you get a sample of the carpet you are thinking about and take that with you when you look at the paint work. Have fun!!! Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: New kitchen colours - help please!!! 38Apr 24, 2008 6:25 pm Yes I have a big piece of my carpet 70cm x 120cm so it's a good size to get an idea with. I've just cut the metropolitan, white pepper and flokati out of my brochure and they all look nice sitting on the carpet - but they are tiny little squares! It'll be good to move the carpet around the rooms on the displays.
I'll let you know how I go! Thanks so much for your help and advice! Re: New kitchen colours - help please!!! 39Apr 24, 2008 6:29 pm Yes the little chips are very frustrating!
There are always sample pots of the colours as well……that’s what I tell my clients to do, paint up a board in sample pot colours and use those for while making your mind up. Bette still…..I have A4 colour swatches……my clients love me!! Make sure you post some photos!!! Yep will do I must remember to get some "before" shots before I pull the old kitchen apart Hopefully I'll have the doors in a week or so I was being kind to the builder. With the amount charged for the upgrade the builder is probably charging closer to 100% margin. There are a few variables as I… 5 14314 Assuming the structure of your cabinetry is good then I would DIY everything as follows: - replace your counter tops entirely, - replace all drawer runners with soft close… 1 4782 You never have a fridge against wall as you’ve drawn. The doors can’t open past 90 degrees and it’s difficult and maybe impossible to remove drawers 2 15600 |
