PD seem to use these two together alot in their displays. The Chalk Dust seems like a nice white but I'd like to know whether I should just use the same white as ceiling for the trims due to the kitchen cupboards being polar white? Thanks for your opinion and feedback! Re: New kitchen colours - help please!!! 64Apr 28, 2008 6:05 pm To be perfectly honest….. I would not put those two colours together.
There is too a great a tonal difference between them. I would look at using the Wattyl Chalk Beige ½ strength for the skirts, arcks, doors and such. Other than that, the rest is great! I really would like white trims and doors. Should I look at changing my wall colour? Re: New kitchen colours - help please!!! 66Apr 28, 2008 6:26 pm NO! If you are happy with the contrast, then do it.
Your wall colour is lovely. I would like a contrast. I played it very safe in my old house with Antique White USA everywhere!! I'd like the white trims and the white kitchen and have colour in the splashback - dulux linseed. I'm going with your advice re the gloss cupboards. I've got some lovely sheers to hang in the lounge room from NY and they are white also. Re: New kitchen colours - help please!!! 68Apr 28, 2008 6:39 pm Occasionally I suggest a contrast colour scheme also!
So, it’s OK! My advice to people is……it’s your home, have it how you want! Just so hard to picture it all together and the finished product. Thanks for your help and for giving me piece of mind! With the amount charged for the upgrade the builder is probably charging closer to 100% margin. There are a few variables as I… 5 13046 Assuming the structure of your cabinetry is good then I would DIY everything as follows: - replace your counter tops entirely, - replace all drawer runners with soft close… 1 3426 You never have a fridge against wall as you’ve drawn. The doors can’t open past 90 degrees and it’s difficult and maybe impossible to remove drawers 2 8268 |
