Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Apr 17, 2013 9:12 pm Hi guys, I really like Riven textured surface for my choice of laminex in my future kitchen. It isn't a big upgrade, price wise, but there isn't a lot of information online about it to confirm my choice. Can anyone offer any advice or share any experiences with this line of laminex product? Thanks YTD Build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63784 Re: Laminex Impressions Textured Surfaces - anyone? 2Apr 19, 2013 9:35 pm When we were looking at the laminex range, the one we both liked the best by far was from the impressions range as well. Can't remember the name, but the store had a big sample of it which looked great (it was a dark one). In the end we went with a different one, simply because the impressions range was new and we couldn't find any information. We do like the new one too, but technically the other one was probably nicer. I think they were introduced late 2012 if I remember correctly, so you might be hard pressed to find any good information regarding durability etc. I'd say go for it, don't play it safe like we did At least you'd have something different. I'm sure laminex have put it through a bunch of tests to make sure it lasts. Re: Laminex Impressions Textured Surfaces - anyone? 3Apr 19, 2013 11:29 pm I've recently finished a bathroom for a client using riven. It was the first time I've used it and I was very impressed. It was certainly a nice subtle improvement over standard melamine. The textured finish made it feel more upmarket. I can't see it being any less durable than standard melamine.
