Kitchen style gurus

I have seen a kitchen with beige coloured cabinets (dulux hogbristle I think) and ivory fantasy granite which I think I kind of like. The thing that is worrying me is whether granite (and in particular this ivory fantasy granite) is a bit old fashioned. Is it a bit 80s???

The cabinets are nice and square in gloss 2 pac and I am selecting miele appliances (so that looks quiet modern), but what do you think?

Old fashioned or is this making a statement?

The best thing to do to keep it modern is to add a nice colour glass splashback to add a bit of class
