Hi,
has anybody bought granite or quartz composite for a renovation in Perth recently? What do I have to expect to pay per sqm for a medium quality? Who can you recommend?
Has anybody bought from Universal Stone in Canningvale? thanks.

It really depends on the following, Brand and also which level in that brand How many joins you have Undermount sink or not 40mm or 20mm Cutting Edge Kitchens and Cabinet Making http://cuttingedgekitchens.net.au http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cutting-Edge-Kitchens/290484196676 Mobile : 0419 430 575 PH: 9452 4772 Fax :9452 4772 cuttingedgekitchens@outlook.com Re: Granite and quartz composite benchtops in Perth? 3Mar 12, 2013 1:56 pm We just recently had a complete new kitchen fitted with a composite granite bench top. Within 6 weeks the bench top had cracked around the tap. Looks like the under mount sink was not fitted properly and allowed water to penetrate the HMR substrate, causing it to swell and crack the granite. The kitchen guy and the granite guy have been running for cover ever since. Consumer affairs said it was too hard and hand balled it to the Building Commission. The Building Commission said it was too hard and hand balled it to the State Administrative Tribunal. This is where i will be this Friday......... Interested parties can PM me for details regarding the companies involved. Re: Granite and quartz composite benchtops in Perth? 4Mar 12, 2013 1:58 pm Forgot to mention that this saga has been well covered in another forum. http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/ search kitchen problems hope this info saves someone else going thru the same pain that we are.... Re: Granite and quartz composite benchtops in Perth? 5Mar 12, 2013 2:07 pm Leinster, I read your thread in the whirlpool forum. The company you mentioned is doing a cheap fix, a look a like granite thingy. Don't worry, my demands in terms of kitchen are well above what they offer. Thanks for sharing. 0 9796 I am not sure whether Perth has its own way of doing things in regards to this. Most of Perth has class A (sandy soil), except for some areas near rivers or hills. 2 13053 1 10997 |
