I'm leaning towards a tower, but I'm not sure about having it close to the kitchen entrance or close to the pantry entrance! Land settled May '14. I would go for 2A, keep it flush with the wall in the corner keeping the end beside your pantry door open up top. My kitchen just went in but we have 2 towers and I love them. We have a 60cm oven and 2nd oven/microwave on one side and a coffee machine in the other just to balance out the ends. This has freed the underneath for draws like you will have. Do you have 2 sinks or are you also questioning sink position too? I put ours facing the living so if I am preparing or washing food I can still socialise. Big pantry?- it will be lovely. I don't socialise while washing dishes, nor while doing prep if it is at all avoidable. Land settled May '14. I'm a lefty, and so prefer to have the table to the left of the ovens for some reason (I do use knifes with my right hand, though). Anyway, having the ovens up a bit is great, but if one of you are on the small side, be carefull the top one isn't too high up as you want to be able to view what is actually in there and to mitigate the risk of pouring oven hot foodstuff all over your torso. Re: Which oven position? 6Feb 09, 2013 8:48 pm I like 2a and would have had a tower if we had room. Prefer 2a to 2b so pantry entry and the bench top Is left nice and open. It will help give a sense of space I think. We have side by side unde rbench and it works fine but I prefer them to be at eye level. Regards, Grumbles Re: Which oven position? 8Feb 10, 2013 10:09 am Default position is inside the pantry - I am considering making that a space for my upright freezer and putting a new fridge niche in the wall opposite the kitchen entrance so I can avoid kids (and certain adults) tramping through the kitchen and getting in my way.
