I see handles as a form of decoration, I think the cupboards all in a line like they are look bare without the handles. NOW if the cupboards were in front of your island bench, yes no handles. Just me...... Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Help handles or not? {poll} 22Jan 31, 2013 10:01 am I went for 1. I never had a kitchen with handles. Because my new kitchen will have more drawers than doors. No hanging cabinets. I have been to a friends place last weekend and because of this poll I tried her handleless drawers and thought what a pain. She bought the house recently, the kitchen is about 2 years old. The gap to pull out the drawer is tiny plus with heavy stuff in the drawer, it was a pain. Don't know how a man gets into the little gap, however a man has more strenght than me to pull out the drawer. Those drawers were only 500mm wide. My kitchen is 16 years old and has no defect at all. The drawers have a groove at the bottom of the face board and are very easy to pull out. But because the kitchen has no pot drawers at all, I will replace it this year with handles. As Michelle says, handles are also a decorative feature (if not too many). Re: Help handles or not? {poll} 23Jan 31, 2013 10:25 am Any option will look good, so I'd worry less about how it looks and more about use. Is not having a handle going to annoy you when you use those cupboards? Will fingerprints bother you? If so, go handles. For what it's worth, I voted one. I just liked the look in your kitchen. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Help handles or not? {poll} 24Jan 31, 2013 11:21 am Evelin I went for 1. I never had a kitchen with handles. As Michelle says, handles are also a decorative feature (if not too many). Im only thinking handleless for overheads. All the pot drawers etc beneath will have handles. I added up and if I do handles for overheads and all drawers/cupboards its about 37 handles haha Overheads aren't in high use for us (just glasses and cookbooks etc). We will have least 15 pot drawers so lots of storage. I think we have decided on Option 3 Thanks everyone for comments and votes Re: Help handles or not? {poll} 25Jan 31, 2013 4:23 pm I'm the same as Michelle too, I once read somewhere that handles are like a kitchens "jewels" some handles are just so nice I would personally miss them. No handles would never work in my type of kitchen but in a modern kitchen at the moment it is very on trend. Re: Help handles or not? {poll} 26Jan 31, 2013 5:04 pm I guess worse case if we don't like handle less we could add handles... Maybe Re: Help handles or not? {poll} 27Jan 31, 2013 6:51 pm One reason I didn't do handles on the top cupboards is because my living room is so close to the kitchen and I wanted the cupboards to look as least kitcheny as I could a new phrase, least kitcheny Re: Help handles or not? {poll} 29Feb 01, 2013 12:58 pm We have gone with handles on the bottom as we will have only pot drawers. Handless on the top.
