It's also a seperate room. We would consider knocking out a wall to make it open plan which would mean adding an island bench so the kitchen would be a bit more a feature I guess. So question...Is it best to remove and start from scratch with a kitchen? Or just update what is already there? And anyone know how much approx it is to add an island bench (with storage in it)....? Thanks Re: To add to kitchen or start again? 2Jan 10, 2013 9:07 am Hi - if it was me I would start again otherwise you will compromise and never be happy. Get some quotes and you may be surprised how reasonable the cost could be - I don't know where you are but here in Adelaide Wallspan and Bunnings do a nice job for a very reasonable cost. When we were renovating we had a cabinetmaker do the laundry which was also excellent value ..... best idea is to get the quotes and some advice and go from there ... good luck and let us know how you get on.
