Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jan 06, 2013 11:46 pm Its not perfect (but i tried to get the dimensions as exact as possible and i think i did pretty well) The program didnt have the right size pantry to fit for that wall and my fridge. The pantry will actually be smaller (about 780) and the fridge will have a siding on it to make it look like the cabinets from side on. This is basically what im getting quotes for. Still havnt decided on the microwave location (just playing around) and the corner cabinet underneath the ceiling box (which is fixed there as someone told me it will be too difficult and expensive (structural) to move) and i quite like it anyway. Adds some dimension to it and perfect for adding overhead lights under (that area is going to be my work bench for cake decorating and custom fondant figurines). Its there at the moment with a rangehood in it because that is the current place of the oven (ill upload pics of my hideous, dysfunctional kitchen tomorrow). I havnt decided whether to have slide out range built into middle of three overhead cupboards or just have a canopy range. I like the open look of it without cupboards overhead but want to get others opinions. At the moment the cabinets at the top go too close to the window and obscure it (was too big a job moving the whole window over, so im going to just either have no cabinets up there, or only have three, right in the centre of that wall. The bench tops are going to be night sky caesarstone and im still really confused about the material for cabinets, but i like the vinyl in that it can be moulded like that, but dont like what ive heard about how it handles heat. Would laminate be better in the long run? (i had to laugh looking back over this picture) my mad paint skills to show you what the layout is kindof like. Both the doorways (kitchen-dining and dining-living are just big archways (curtains up in the latter) and the closest floor colour i could find is the one pictured, the floor is actually what i think is knotty pine. http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f350/alkababba/kitchenidea_zps8339a239.jpg Re: My idea for my kitchen so far (via laminex designer 3d) 2Jan 07, 2013 5:23 am i also like the look with the canopy rangehood and no overhead cupboards. do you still have enough storage with out the cupboards Re: My idea for my kitchen so far (via laminex designer 3d) 3Jan 07, 2013 7:19 am Thanks for your post. I think i will. my only reservation would be nowhere high to store poisons (2 toddlers) but im sure ill figure it out. i just did another one with the overheads and they both look nice. I want things super clean though and the canopy ranges are more powerful. It's a wireware product that slides on drawer runners. Ill bring it up with the builders. Anyone here used naturastone? We were going to use caesarstone but the dude said they use natura because caesarstone is prone to ring staining and stuff whereas this other stuff isnt. Is natura more or less expensive do you know? The OP has gone The latch and striker are definitely not aligned but there was no point trying to help the OP understand that. Hence the reason they are no longer with us. 12 5678 Your build is relatively simple, I believe your job can be easily done by a good building designer, you really do not need to pay for the architect.
