Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Nov 27, 2012 2:58 pm The husband has recently made the announcement that he does not, repeat, does not want a light coloured kitchen bench. Sigh. There goes my little ideas! We have essastone in our house and I have been looking at some of the darker choices. We like warm, eathy tones and so far the ones I have liked are 'macchiato', 'new sable luxe', 'new chinchilla', and 'bitter chocolate' Has anyone used any of these in their house? If so I would love to see pics and know what you think about it. I worry that the darker tops will be a lot of work to keep clean. We have a ragdoll at home. White fur everywhere! lol Re: Dark kitchen bench 2Nov 27, 2012 11:53 pm We are going with one of the white essa stone benchtops. I originally wanted the dark but was out voted, I have now come around to having a beautiful white kitchen. And I was afraid the darker colours would show up and scratches much worse then a light bench. Maybe check out some of the builders websites and see what they have done in their displays? Re: Dark kitchen bench 3Nov 28, 2012 4:16 pm Do a search here for "show me your kitchen" or "classic kitchen colours" and you will see some great pics of dark benchtops Re: Dark kitchen bench 5Nov 28, 2012 6:20 pm That's my choice too, I love it! Caesarstone also have a very close match, just can't remember what it's called atm. Re: Dark kitchen bench 6Nov 29, 2012 1:04 pm It looks similar to the ceasarstone colour we like (Urban).
