Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Apr 06, 2008 10:11 pm Was wondering if anyone has chosen or knows anything about this benchtop surface. It is one of the Laminex range and I was wanting more than anything to get an idea of what it's resistance is like to scratches etc. I am worried because of the high gloss that scratches would show up more than ordinary laminate but i must admit i do like some of their colour choices. Just not sure if it would be practical though.
If anyone has had any experience with this product before or knows a bit about it then your comments would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Re: Laminex Diamond Gloss - Opinions please 3Apr 09, 2008 9:44 pm It’s definitely a surface I stay away from.
Yes they scratch easy. I believe the gloss scratches easily but the Diamond Gloss is far superior. I can not see any scratches on ours and believe me (mum of 3 young boys) the bench is constantly having washing baskets placed on etc Re: Laminex Diamond Gloss - Opinions please 5Apr 11, 2008 6:36 pm Ooooo, that’s good to know!
Thanks for that mudtrilogy. I am going to get a few samples and put them to work!
helen Re: Laminex Diamond Gloss - Opinions please 7Apr 11, 2008 7:31 pm I think for me I have heard so many times……”scratch resident”, and there not, that I get a bit cynical.
But it’s good to know what mudtrilogy said, its best coming from someone NOT selling the product! We have it going in the bathroom, ensuite and in the kitchen so I am glad to read the comment mudtrilogy made!! We wont get to see ours for some time yet but its still exciting stuff! Have had kitchen in for a month now and they are easy to care for. We have teenagers who like to cook and not a mark, they come up beautifully with a microfibre cloth. Am definately very happy thus far with our decision. IMG_5468.JPG Hope this helps, .M. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ OMG...why did we start this project....!!
