Do the three types of gloss vary a lot in price? Also the sharknose drawers are they a lot more than ordinary drawers? I have all drawers and no cupboards in the kitchen - about 30 of them - I am wondering if this is going to cost me a bomb??? Yes they vary alot in price. Gloss melamine and vinyl wrap are around the same price. Polyurethane or 2pac is more expensive but a better finish with more options. For a full sharknose kitchen with 30 drawers you would add around $1500 - $2000 to the overall price. How do the top handle less cabinets open, groove underneath? I plan on calling you for a quote in the new year for a kitchen and wardrobes. That is how everyone is doing it at the minute. It looks quite good. There are a few other options available. http://i794.photobucket.com/albums/yy230/VTSS350/1DesktopResolution.jpg http://i794.photobucket.com/albums/yy230/VTSS350/IMG_0641DesktopResolution.jpg http://i794.photobucket.com/albums/yy230/VTSS350/IMG_0868.jpg Cutting Edge Kitchens and Cabinet Making http://cuttingedgekitchens.net.au http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cutting-Edge-Kitchens/290484196676 Mobile : 0419 430 575 PH: 9452 4772 Fax :9452 4772 cuttingedgekitchens@outlook.com Re: Gloss kitchen cabinets and handless drawers 7Nov 09, 2012 10:19 pm auds Also I want drawers with no handles - does this cost more as I guess you have to have some sort of a groove on the bottom of each drawer to open them up? Any help would be fabulous!! We used (or rather the cabinet maker did) a combination of Blum's Tip-On and Hettich's Push Open. That way the face is totally flat, no grooves. I have used these systems a few times. They work quite well and look fantastic. They do have a few problems though, You cant have softclose and push to open You have to fully close the drawer yourself rather than just giving it a quick push. They are quite expensive. And yes, they are expensive, but not as much as Servo-Drive. How do they compare to shark nose? Re: Gloss kitchen cabinets and handless drawers 11Nov 14, 2012 7:51 pm I wonder how those "push to open" compare pricewise to the sharknose Re: Gloss kitchen cabinets and handless drawers 12Nov 19, 2012 8:11 am TopCath You can also get "push to open" mechanisms for drawers. The drawer fronts then sit flush, without the need for angled bottoms and spaces between the drawer fronts. Thats what we have been talking about in the posts above. Also remember that you loose the softclose feature when you have push to open drawers. We have been quoted soft close for all which was quite expensive and wondering what the difference would be to change to push to open Re: Gloss kitchen cabinets and handless drawers 16Nov 22, 2012 8:08 am moxie How does the cost of the push to open drawers compare to soft close price? We have been quoted soft close for all which was quite expensive and wondering what the difference would be to change to push to open Very hard to say. It depends on the pricing structure of the company you are using and how many drawers you have. I have seen some companys charge upto $200 per drawer for push to open.
