I haven't heard of this brand before and was wondering if anyone here has used this product or know how it differs from Cesaerstone (if at all). Here is the website. I've requested a brochure and I'll call them for samples today. http://www.ydlstone.com.au/ I assume all stone benchtops are pretty much the same?? Re: YDL Stone benchtops 2Nov 07, 2012 10:35 am I read on a website that most of these composite benchtops are made of pretty much the same material. They are all made of resin or silicone and stone/shells/glass. Warranty and price are the things to watch out for as well as the "standard" thickness of each brand, as generally the thicker it is the more you pay. Also some colours are dearer than others- I guess it's supply and demand? Re: YDL Stone benchtops 3Nov 07, 2012 2:01 pm Before you do my advice is to also check out some suppliers of natural stone and look at the difference. Only a personal choice but I was very surprised when I found out the smallish price difference and compared the look and shine of the natural stone. Granite is also much more scratch resistant. Do not go with only one supplier/stonemason either. Check out a few, get quotes and look at samples of their work. I am getting granite installed tomorrow and there were large $1000s differences between different companies quotes.
