Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Oct 23, 2012 3:10 pm So I'm looking at ripping out my kitchen and replacing it with new cabinets/appliances the lot. I wondered about the plumbing fittings when I was looking at buying the new sink. What happens if the new sink doesn't match up completly with the old sink i.e. the pipes? Should I instead get the plumber to arrange the sink and taps so that they get the correct ones? I ask as I don't plan on moving any plumbing - but I've no idea about this dilemma. TIA Re: Kitchen sink help please 2Oct 23, 2012 5:35 pm Are you talking about the water pipes or the waste pipe?? Do you water pipes come out below bench height?? Usually flexiable lines are used from the copper pipe to the taps and the waste pipes are fully adjustable. I cant see any issues unless you have something out of the ordinary! Does your waste pipe go through the floor or out through the wall? Re: Kitchen sink help please 4Oct 24, 2012 3:03 pm Thank you both. I was talking about the water taps but I didn't think about the waste tap. The water taps are mounted on the sink and the pipes lead out to an external wall. The waste pipe is plastic and I don't know where that ends up?!
