No hurry. I've got 5 weeks! I quite like the photo but the green I picked is not quite that bright... I think!? Re: Kitchen Colours. AGGGHHHHH!!!!!! 10Apr 04, 2008 8:20 pm Paula - LOVE that fresh reed, I am now rethinking my chocolate brown bathroom and going with cupboards in that (or similar colour) with a lighter QQ benchtop and stone coloured floor tiles Re: Kitchen Colours. Once you have found one you like and you know it will go with all that you have planned, STOP LOOKING! You are going to get yourself very confused. You need a plan, and you need to stick to the plan, don’t falter either way! You now need to look straight ahead, not out to the sides, put blinders on, stay focused…….. Bel you will do your head in, you poor thing, but thanks for liking my colour Paula Re: Kitchen Colours. AGGGHHHHH!!!!!! 13Apr 04, 2008 8:45 pm I just tried to use the Reed in a home reno I am doing at the moment. It’s a nice colour and texture, the reeds look good in bathrooms as well.
My client chose another I had out for her, no one has used it here yet, I think…..Laminex Sage Craft, very nice, that’s the second one Paula has up in her colours. I know I am terrible!! I haven't set my heart on the colours yet - I haven't even done my colour selection yet so I am sure there will be plenty of changed decisions up until then!! I have promised DH that once I make them at the appointment I will NOT change them again - I have to stick to it too!! I am leaning towards a lighter colour bathroom actually for more than a few reasons; I tend to think it wil be easier to accesorise with towels etc and I think overall it will look fresher/cleaner.... I really need to get out to National Tiles and see the options - I am also waiting on my colour package from Laminex which should help too. I'd love to see the pics of your clients FreshReed if you have it Mich? Thanks again girls - I promise I won't confuse us all too much Cheers Bel Re: Kitchen Colours. AGGGHHHHH!!!!!! 15Apr 10, 2008 1:08 pm I found a slightly different green that is a little more subtle. The girl at the Laminex shop suggested I use it with Silica Mist benchtops.
BUT I'm not sure if I should go for Fossil or Paperbark cupboards... Or maybe use Organic for the cupboards and Fossil for the splashback tiles, we have a really big splashback area that is going to be tiles. I thought that then I could use a bright green and build a windowbox on the window. Just to bring out the green... Kitchens are the hardest room I think!!! We also love olive greens in our house but we're having the Mink C/S benchtop (in olive green) and a neutral beige cupboards in the kitchen. Do you really like to have the olive colour on your cupboards? Why not do it on your benchtop instead so it won't look very dominating? The fresh reed and sage craft that Paula shared are nice colours... but not sure if it would look good for cupboard doors. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Built the Nevada 42 Next project - landscaping!
