Even the old tile to the kicker won't keep water/liquid spills out, and it would be a large amount of work to cut a straight line in the tiles and then pull a few up! The question is what color silicon, grout color? White? Don't know if clear is a good idea, also a bead of colored silicon will hide any small gaps between kicker and tile Thanks stormjr, you've pretty much summed up what I was thinking. I do have some floor tiling to do but wasn't keen on pulling up too many tiles. I was thinking of a coloured silicone, grout and tile is a light grey colour so I guess I could get something to match.
