I also look the look of glass-top hoods. But ... what do gurus think about their performance? I mean, the "actual" width is only about 60cm, that is extended by the glass to 90cm. So, in my mind, it will give the same performance as a 60cm hood?? Chris Re: My new glasstop rangehood looks amazing cost under $400 4Mar 29, 2008 4:35 pm I do like the look of the glass versions, I just worry if it will be more cleaning intensive ....

What heigfhtg did you mount it on the wall, ie above the benchtop? I'm just plastering upa section ready to install and rangehood and popped in here to see where I shoul dbe putting the power cables through. Pity they are in brissy, otherwise I might buy one. Cheers Steve Re: My new glasstop rangehood looks amazing cost under $400 7Mar 29, 2008 5:28 pm I mounted it at about eye level just a tad higher than the original rangehood, The old rangehood (blanco) was very noisy couldnt cook and watch tv and the girfirend had to always turn it right up but this one isnt too bad you can hear it but a fair bit quiter than the original one.
Maybe you should ask if they will post it Yak_Chat, I dont know where you are but might not be that expensive. Re: My new glasstop rangehood looks amazing cost under $400 8Mar 29, 2008 9:16 pm If you are selling the house then the 'wow factor' can greatly help the sale. It doesn't really need to be practible i.e easy to clean or ultra quiet. As long as you can push the purchasers buttons emotionally you are half way there. Just one of the ways that 'rennovators' lessen real livability. (Nothing personal, and certainly not attacking you and the many examples of your helpful advice !) But instead of selling a livable house people try to sell a dream or a lifestyle. It's another extension of the cascade of BS drenching the western world these days. Selling a dream may be OK if it's a diamond ring, but houses shouldn't be about packaging, emotional impulse and psychological trickery. Yep...much better to live like this... http://www.chinese-forums.com/bj/chinhous.html And I quote: This is probably not the option for anyone with an aversion to the occasional cockroach (though mine have left, bored of the tuna-only diet) and hot-water failure. Chinese building standards are not the highest, and you can expect ill-fitting doors, drafts, and paint-drips in places that appear to have never even seen a paint-brush. Or is both the same? 6 7310 2 833 you need to make an application to your local council for this as they are the approval authority for driveways cheers Simeon 1 7098 |
