Which benchtop colour to go with cream doors

My kitchen doors are whitish cream and my unit's walls are very light yellow. Which benchtop colour would look best with them?

I think any of the warm brown tones will go well

raw silk, ivory linen, latte, bondi, biscuit, cashmere.

It depends if you want to match or contrast?

I’m looking at the C/Stone site and the computer screen I’m looking at is nothing like my real samples in my office, so I’m not even going to say yet!

I have 3 jobs on at the moment, if I remember to; I’ll have a look for you later tonight.

It depends if you want to match or contrast?

I haven't quite decided yet but yeah I agree a shade of brown is best. Espresso would be good contrast colour though!

Very nice, Im a bit worried if the samples Michelle have are different to the website..How are the mere mortals supposed to choose if we dont have the real thing in front of us?

I have antique white 2pac kitchen cupboards with black galaxy granite. It looks awesome. I stole the idea from my partners builder. The contrast looks great and very classy.

Paula…..I have said this before, and it can be a problem.

If your computer doesn’t have a good graphics card in it, you will not see the colours CLOSE to what they are.

Only that I look at the samples I have all the time, I know this computer has a pretty Crap* graphic card (I’m at work) my computer at home…..has a good graphics card, which I might be updating again.

If in doubt……order the samples from the company, they don’t mind, and they are very helpful!

Paula…..I have said this before, and it can be a problem.

If your computer doesn’t have a good graphics card in it, you will not see the colours CLOSE to what they are.

My kitchen renovator doesn't have an extensive showroom. Fortunately for me the CaesarStone showroom is in Sydney so I might pop in sometime this week.

As those here who are more technologically literate than I can tell you it isn't just about the graphics card - any good graphics software has to be tuned to the monitors output - at least I know Photoshop can be...everybodies screen settings are different...which is why we quickly ditched the colour swatch section of our first website (which we spent a Loki-load of money creating in the first place)...and if you're just relying on I.E. for product information then I suggest you consider for reevaluation anything you see.

Even in our Kitchen Design Studio where we have colour chips and big slabs of various stone analogues on display, I am amused by people taking the samples to the windows to look at them under "natural" light - I always try and point out to them that the colour they are considering will look different under various light souces, Fluorescent, Tungsten Carbide, Halogen and so on...if you're are going to spend a couple of K on tops, then make sure that you get to look at the samples under the light which they will be installed under - this means getting whoever is organising the supply to meet you in an anagolous environment with samples to suit.

So true Earl!

When I worked for Carpet Court it used to make me laugh when people took the carpet samples outside to see the colour better!

I asked one couple one day if they were going to use the carpet as carpet or their lawn!!!! :shock:

The same goes when choosing your interior paints, don’t take them outside, they are to be painted inside! Don’t look at your exterior colours inside…..take them outside.

I NEVER take an interior sample outside to see its true colour, I don’t need to see the TRUE colour, I need to see it under light! :wink:

I have to say I like the Ivory or Raw Silk, with a light lemon.

Looking at the website, I think raw silk is the closest match to your cream unit walls.

On our part, we chose the colour of our CS benchtop by going to one of CS showroom in Melbourne.
They have big slabs of it and have samples that you can take with you.

We put cafe cream laminate cupboards with iced snow C/S benchtops. Slight contrast in shades and the white C/S brings out a slight grey in the cafe cream. Looks great and is a bit softer then straight white cupboards and benchtops.

Thanks guys. After looking at my walls again they're a bit more yellow than I had imagined. I passed by the showroom this morning and now I'm leaning towards Cashmere.
