Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jul 16, 2012 1:57 pm My partner wants the cupboard and drawer fronts to not have visible protruding handles. To my uneducated mind that either means very expensive servoed mechanisms that open when you touch them or a specially shaped door front that "hides" the handle down one edge. Can anyone give any advice or clues on this? What's the difference in price, for example on Blum simple soft close stuff compared to the servoed self-opening and closing mechanisms? Having both in various installations, I have to say Blum's Tip On is by far the smoother product, whereas Hettich's soft close hinges is superior to Blum's Clip On or another such (can't remember the brand) with a damper. Re: Kitchen doors without handles 5Jul 18, 2012 7:27 am Blum used to only supply standard hinges with a damper added on. They now supply the hinge with the softclose mechanism in the hinge.
