Hi all
Just wondering if anyone has had any experiences with purchasing a kitchen from Masters?
Good and bad feedback/advice would be appreciated!
Thank you in advance!

My kitchen itself is built be a cabinet-maker. Re: Masters Kitchens 4Aug 13, 2012 11:54 am Emmsiek Hi Jen Im also interested in a Masters kitchen. What have you found out so far? No still no joy - but i've had a quote from them and it's $2300 for an L shape - no bench top though vs $3400 from kitset and felt masters was a better quality. What has your experience been so far? jenjen Re: Masters Kitchens 7Sep 05, 2012 10:53 am Hi,i have just put in 2 base cabinet to the laundry (new build)to provide extra support for the bench-tops (granite) & have a ikea kitchen in this now house. Had to go flat pack because no-one thought about the extra support needed & i didnt have time to order the bases. I also checked out bunnings. The ikea kitchen is superb, after approx 5yrs in we have no probs at all. Bunnings was quite abit more exy than Masters & really no difference in quality, bunnings seperate everything including hinges, door etc which took the price way up & it turned out more exy than ikea. Our custom drawers units with soft closers was $350 ea through the builder. Bunnings was towards the $600 for 2 sets of drawers And Masters was just over $300 for 2 base cabinets without doors which i am going back to get. Masters supplied all bar the doors or drawers & was very easy to put together, plus fab customer service. The quality is similar to bunnings but i think ikea is better. Masters was cheaper than the others & they also offer instalation. They have white or gloss. You get what you pay for,Masters has a great range, hope this helps you, good luck kat Block bought 1st RBC X! 2nd Ventrua,Keeper! After a few months of getting quotes and looking at display kitchens we've finally settled on Masters for our kitchen. The layout is pretty simple so there was no requirement for any custom made cabinets. Should hopefully start the renovation in October I'll take some before, during and after photos in case anyone is interested in seeing a Masters kitchen. Re: Masters Kitchens 9Sep 19, 2012 4:10 pm Thank you so much for all your advice and help guys it's been appreciated. Well after much deliberating, I've settled on a masters kitchen. We're halfway through the installation now. We got the Newport doors (Hafele ones with 10 years warranty). As for the countertop, we went with the laminated Jurassic Rock top. I guess the deciding factor for us to choose Masters was because they design the kitchen for us as well. At first, we wanted to design it ourselves and thought of choosing IKEA, but the lack of support and help (not to mention the crappy kitchen software they offered) from the IKEA staff discouraged us from taking the final leap. Gave Bunnings some consideration too but maybe it drilled down to bad luck, but on that day at Bunnings, we stood about for 30 minutes at the Kaboodle section and nobody turned up to help us with our order. We're not handy, so we needed a lot of help. Masters was newly opened and right opposite Bunnings. Their nice kitchen designer helped with the design, sat for hours with us, etc. In the end, they sent their installation team over to our house to measure and do the design review. The installation quote was a whopping 12k (cabinets a separate 6k). We went around getting quotes for the plumber, sparky and carpenter and managed to save 4k on the installation. I would recommend their cabinets, but not with their installer. They pad their quotes with crap like "Project Management Fee", etc and give you very little control over the electrical/plumbing parts of the installtion. Materials and boards are good and solid. Most importantly, the vinyl wrap on the doors are seamless and smooth. As opposed to the IKEA ones which where you can see the line where the vinyl starts and ends. These seams will become black with use later and sometimes in lesser grade brands, can even start to peel off. No missing or any broken parts. Each flatpack comes complete with everything you need. I didnt have to run to Masters for anything! The Hafele metal fittings/drawers inside the cabinets look good to me. They feel solid and tough. The metal coating seems a better quality than the IKEA metal coating. I thought the finish was smoother and firmer? :-\ Re: Masters Kitchens 19Oct 30, 2012 3:00 pm 6-7k for cupboards, carcasses, benchtop. Sink & handles were from Ikea and that was just about 400 in total. "is it exempt or do I need to get permission from council" Call your Council and ask them 1 1519 |
