We have a good set of Grosvenor cutlery of for everyday use and another REALLY good set which stays in its box and gather's dust!!!
It only comes out for very special occasions. Make sure you know what quality of stainless you are buying: Stainless steel is a composite of different steels and varies in terms of grades for different uses. The main ingredient is chromium and nickel has been added to provide a resistance to corrosion. Therefore 18/10 means 18% chromium and 10% nickel. The higher the nickel content, the more protection from corrosion. Prices vary considerably depending on these specs. And 18/8 means 18% chromium and 8% nickel. The higher the nickel % the better - supposedly.... although they are both classed at 304 grade stainless. You need to make sure you know what you are paying for... Do your shopping around, go to Myers and stores with dedicated departments and staff... Let them show you the difference. A nice piece of cutlery will be weighted correctly and not feel too heavy or lop-sided in your hand...... they also do not need to cost the earth for a decent set....although if you want heirloom quality it will cost you.... Good Luck! Thank you so much. This has been very helpful. We definitely wish to settle and get these people out of our life. They are trying to charge us interest on late… 7 14273 I am looking for someone who might have tackled a similar issue as me. I have a few rendered interior walls, the surface condition is hardly flat. I can see all the bumps… 0 7964 Looking at some of the designs on websites, they are all selling very similar products. I get that you want something stylish. It's worth looking for search terms like SaveH2O… 2 7006 |
