Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jul 28, 2012 8:13 pm Hi all,i'm still struggling with a colour for bench-top colour with gloss white cupboards in the kitchen A colour i do like is Tropical brown (which we have now) but i thought it maybe too stark. Just found a web site that said the brown goes well if your having wooden floors & we like bamboo. The house is nearly at lock-up,anyone have any granite benches with gloss white, any colour would be great to see, photo's please. Cheers kat Block bought 1st RBC X! 2nd Ventrua,Keeper! I know black & white is typical but we really wanted the splashback to stand out. Island benchtop is going in today - 40mm with waterfall edge! Splashback tiles are going in tomorrow. In the meantime, check my blog (link in signature) for photos of the progress to date. I will be updating it tomorrow once tiles are in. Marcoola32 that will be a "wow" kitchen, dont forget to show n tell! I'm starting to think i shouldda gone for different colour cupboards & its too late. Wonted light, clean, fresh look, but the granite i love (tropical brown) i think is too dark One white granite i have seen has a slight grey through,i like it but thats adding another colour into the house when i'm going with poss hog bristle, usa white & browns (furniture as have leather chocolate lounge for family room & poss wood & leather dining) I'm thinking of throwing alittle green in as we are in the bush with cushions & poss fature wall in the open plan kitchen, dining, living. The ones that are not I thought the colours may work well with the Hogs Bristle and Antique white. I sorry I dont know the names of them but hopefully they will give you some inspiration. I have also included the link to a granite company whose photos I found helpful when selecting our granite as they show both a small photo and one of the whole slab. Always good as it give a better idea of what it will look like as your bench.
