Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jun 26, 2012 6:08 am Very worried that we have got our fridge space wrong and the fridge will look ridiculous sticking so far out. What depth and width do you have for yours? Thanks! Build Thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43846 Re: What size is you fridge space? 2Jun 26, 2012 6:34 am 1000x700. But our benches are 700 deep so it would all be flush Re: What size is you fridge space? 3Jun 26, 2012 6:46 am But does the door still open ok when it is flush kiwi? God I feel sick, ours is so wrong. 600 in line with bench top. Will stick out a mile. Build Thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43846 Re: What size is you fridge space? 4Jun 26, 2012 7:07 am Yeah, cos the fridge is 600 deep I think, big 2 door Bosch thing and with the doors makes it 700 I will find a pic for ya. The doors open fine cos the space is 1000 but fridge only 880 or summin and so they put a pretend skinny wall down each side of fridge to hide the gap. All the right lingo me!! So those walls sit ' behind' the door hinges so doors open in front of them..will find a pic!! Re: What size is you fridge space? 5Jun 26, 2012 7:15 am No I tell a lie, the cabinet fridge it is in is 690 but my bench is 660 so there is 3 cms that the bench bangs into Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ But it doesnt look wrong. Cos cabinet and bench are the same colour, then I have a wall other side of fridges that is the same width as fridge cabinet See to the left..that is the cabinet ...can hardly tell. So yes my cabinet does stick out but not noticeably ( cos my bench is 660... Think that helps!) I've found a few shallower fridges online, but really have ballsed this one up I feel. The width is 1.2 so that is fine - just not enough depth. Oh god....I wonder if they can do anything without costing a fortune? The fridge doors will need to protrude from the cabinet to allow them to open, unless you have additional cabinet width. I love the little infill pieces on the sides of your fridge kiwi, that's a fantastic idea! Re: What size is you fridge space? 11Jun 26, 2012 10:00 am Ours is 950 wide (could have been a bit wider) and 1800 high. The wall is 700 wide on one side of the fridge space but probably 600 on the other side which is fine - there's plenty of room to open the doors wide but I think I would have liked the cupboards above the fridge to be deeper but then it would have been wider than the pantry.
