Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 May 15, 2012 9:16 pm Our new kitchen will be matt Polar white colour with an ice snow benchtop. The floorboards will be spotted gum. The walls are white. Our kitchen is quite small. Thought of maybe white glass splashback but not sure. I would love suggestions on what colour glass splashback to get, thanks. Re: What colour glass splashback with white kitchen 2May 16, 2012 12:13 am You are in the enviable position of having almost unlimited choice. Look at your spotted gum floor: right there is green, beige, brown, pale red, and creamy tones for inspiration!
Don't be afraid to use a bold colour if that's what you like, just because your kitchen is small. Google pics of small kitchens with quite bold splashbacks- with the white cupboards it doesn't appear to decrease the space at all. Or perhaps theme with your kitchen knick knacks (but only if they are classic pieces you won't ever get rid of), or else stay neutral and accessorize with an accent colour. Re: What colour glass splashback with white kitchen 4May 18, 2012 12:10 pm I agree. It depends on your floorboards. Any pics? I think grey tones go really well with timber and white. Very in at the moment and very easy to mix and match knick knacks with as the style changes as every colour goes with grey. We have stainless steel kickboards so the look we're aiming for is still quite stark and clean, so we can play with colourful vases, flowers, artwork etc. Re: What colour glass splashback with white kitchen 8May 20, 2012 6:04 pm Mirrored? I have one in my butlers pantry and it looks good. Pics on blog if you are interested. See the latest entry . I have a window splashback and white glass splashback in the main kitchen which I regret now. I think it needs a splash of colour. Basically use a hosting site like Flickr / Photobucket, up load the picture there. Then a box should show an IMG code for forums - cut and paste the whole line into your post here and the photo should appear. Some things are worth waiting for. I was looking at the grays too but it just didn't quite go with our floor. Looking for advice on whether this variation in tile colour is acceptable.
